Thursday, March 21, 2024. 3:47 p.m. The kind of call that makes the whole shop go quiet.

It was Dan, a contractor running a large sidewalk and drainage project north of town. He owns a CASE 621G wheel loader that does a little bit of everything: loading trucks, backfilling, carrying pipe, cleaning up the big messes. That morning, it lost drive. The diagnosis came back fast: transfer case failure. A full transfer case replacement was the only fix.
